Career Counseling
During a career counseling appointment at the Career Center our counselors
can assist students to:
- Analyze interests, abilities, previous work experience, personal
traits, and desired life style to help students connect this self-knowledge
with career options;
- Find out about opportunities such as co-ops and internships,
externships, and summer and part-time jobs that will help students
to gain real information about career possibilities;
- Make reasoned, well-informed career choices and set short and
long range goals;
- Assistance with preparation for the job search of further study
including clarification of objectives and goal setting; exploring
career possibilities and graduate school; and résumé review and
interviewing techniques.
